Peak Training is an online coaching service based in Boulder, Colorado that's here to help you on your journey to set lofty running goals, and then tackle them. Whether your "mountain" is a Boston Qualifier, a sub 2-hour half marathon, or your first ultra, I want to make that climb with you. Regardless of what you're running goals are, contact me to talk about how I can help you get there. Whether you're just looking for an individualized training program for your goal race or you want frequent contact and consistent feedback, I can create the coaching situation that you need. Coaching fees are determined on an individual basis depending on each athlete's needs and personal situation; I don't want prices to ever stop an athlete from setting big goals.

Coaching Philosophy

I've spent over half my life is an athlete, and almost a decade as a coach. If there is one thing that I have come to believe more and more it's that no one size fits all when it comes to training programs. Every athlete comes with a unique background, physiological make-up, and set of abilities. My goal as a coach is to figure out the individualized formula that works best for each of my athletes to reach optimal performance. I believe in simplicity and consistency, and smart and targeted training yields results.

Psychological and Emotional Preparation

Unfortunately, the training component that I believe has the biggest impact on performance is also sometimes the most frequently overlooked. Race day brings on the challenge and opportunity to do something you've never done before. In my experience as both a coach and an athlete, the factors that prevent outstanding performances from happening most often occur between the ears. Preparing for the psychological and emotional toll of performing and racing is a huge component of my coaching philosophy and is an incorporated part of training plans.
